A low FODMAP diet can help with IBS and the gas, bloating, abdominal pain and bowel irregularity that occur in IBS.  We have previously discussed how a low FODMAP diet can heal your intestines by normalized intestinal cells, like intestinal
serotonin cells.  Today we speak with a researcher who has been publishing these findings.  This is an extremely interesting episode which helps covers;

  • understanding how the low FODMAP diet works
  • when to use the low FODMAP diet
  • who might want to avoid the low FODMAP diet
  • special modifications to make if you have IBS with constipation.

A must listen/read.

    This was a fascinating close up look into great research on the FODMAPS diet. I also appreciate the careful discussion on clinical application. I’m a clinician ( family medicine) working in an area with where I am often walking people through trying these diets ( only one GI office in our town. EBM with practical pearls is a gift. Thanks for making this kind of conversation and information accessible! I wish we had an online IBS school affordable available in the US!
